Module 1
The Signs of the Zodiac
We begin with the twelve signs of the zodiac and their astrological symbolism. You will learn to recognise the signs and understand their fundamental characteristics, providing the first essential building blocks for reading an astrological chart.

Module 2
Elements and Qualities
The signs are grouped according to their four elements - Fire, Earth, Air and Water- and their three Qualities; Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. We explore what these classifications mean and how they help us understand the different characteristics and dynamics represented within a birth chart.

Module 3
The Planets
The planets are the active forces within the chart. We explore the meanings of the planets, including the inner and outer planets of the solar system. We discover what each represents when positioned in the different signs and areas of an individuals chart.

Module 4
The Houses of the Chart
The twelve houses provide another essential dimension to the chart. We examine the meaning of each house and the areas of life it represents, together with an introduction to the different systems used to divide up the space in an astrological chart.

Module 5
Building the Chart
Using an actual example we follow the process of building a chart from the precise time, date and place of birth. This includes the Ascendant (or Rising Sign) and Midheaven (MC). The two principle axes of the chart. The purpose is not to do calculation but to see and understand how the precise birth information determines the structure of an individual chart.

Module 6
The Aspects
The final module introduces the aspects-the angular relationship formed between planets and significant points within the birth chart. We explore the majoe aspects and learn how these planetary connections are identified, represented and the plotted onto their own information grid.
